The place
A restored 1940s hay barn, a grove of live oaks, a covered pavilion and a shallow creek you can walk across in boots.
We book one event a day. The property is yours from ten in the morning until midnight, and nobody else drives through the gate. Bring the caterer you want, the bar service you want and the band you want. We charge no vendor fees and take no commission.
Ben and I have run the place ourselves since 2009. One of us is here the whole day of your wedding, moving chairs and finding the ring when it gets left in a truck.
What a Saturday includes
The whole property
Barn, pavilion, grove, creek crossing and the two getting-ready rooms, from 10am to midnight. One event a day, always.
Tables and chairs
Farm tables and cross-back chairs for 180, plus the ceremony benches. We set them where your plan says and stack them after.
Parking and a rain plan
An attendant on the gravel lot from 3pm. If it rains the pavilion seats everyone, and we make that call with you at noon.
Your own vendors
No required list, no vendor fee. We keep a page of people we like working with, and you are free to ignore all of them.
The night before
Rehearsal at 5pm is included. The pavilion can be added for a dinner after, three hours, six hundred fifty dollars.

Since 2009
We bought a hay barn and a lot of cedar
Ben's grandfather ran cattle on this land. When the last of it was sold off in 2008 we kept twenty-two acres, spent a year clearing cedar out of the oak grove, and put a new roof and a real floor in the barn.
The first wedding here was in April 2009, for a friend, and we charged her four hundred dollars. Since then we have hosted a little over five hundred. It is still the two of us and Callie, and one of us is here every single event.

West on 290 through Dripping Springs, left on Cedar Run Road, 2.1 miles to the iron gate. The last half mile is gravel. Twenty-eight minutes from the west side of Austin.
